Cometto MSPE are self-propelled modules for transportation and handling of oversized and heavy cargo controlled remotely by means of operator control panels. The company’s fleet includes 50 axle lines with total loading capacity of 2 400 tons.
Design features
- Maximum load per axle line of 48 t;
- Vertical suspension travel of 700 mm;
- Commetto modules can be parallel stacked by fastening spacer assemblies with full movement synchronization;
- Two suspended power units with Scania motors with 331 kW capacity;
- Lighting devices for public road travel;
- A set of equipment for stacking and synchronization of control systems designed for operation in a single convoy with modules by other manufacturers;
- Hydraulic oil and fuel heating system for low-temperature environment operation.
Design features of MSPE Cometto modular platforms enable transportation of cargo both with even load distribution across the surface and cargo with concentrated load on the platform.
Steering systems
The digimatic steering system installed in MSPE modules enables relocation of cargo across confined spaces inside buildings and transport cargo in rough terrain conditions through application of the following modes:
- Longitudinal or cross-sectional Ackermann system;
- Parallel program;
- Ackermann system allowing to select any turning point;
- Fixed cross-sectional system;
- Fixed longitudinal system;
- Roundabout (pivoting mode).
Application of the abovesaid modes is possible both in case of rigid docking or when used in parallel movement mode without rigid docking of axle lines.
