The railway department of Benchmark Group has completed transporting cable products along the route: Pskov – “Vanino-Holmsk” ferry line – Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
This involved:
- 11 open box railway cars.
- Cargo protection during transportation.
- Delivery on time and without any delays.
The total weight of cargo estimated over 400 tons.
From the station “Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk cargo”, the cargo was reloaded on road transport and delivered to the logistical complex “Sakhalin”.
Transportation on “Vanino-Holmsk” line is performed by specialized ferry vessels designed and built specifically for operation of this line.
The ferries transport the same railway cars, including open box cars, in which the cargo travels on the Russian railway network.
This technology which excludes physical transshipment of cargo in ports, allows to cut on the time and volume of cargo handling operations in ports, reduce delivery terms and improve cargo safety.
