The railway department of Benchmark Group is transporting steel tanks (disassembled) with the volume of 5 000 m3 along the route: Saratov – “Vanino-Holmsk” ferry line – Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
This means:
- 47 universal railway platforms;
- Cargo protection during transportation;
- Delivery in due term without any delays;
Total weight of cargo: over 2 000 tons.
Transportation on “Vanino-Holmsk” line is performed by specialized ferry vessels designed and built specifically for operation of this line.
The ferries transport the same railway cars in which the cargo travels on the Russian railway network.
This technology which excludes physical transshipment of cargo in ports, allows to cut on the time and volume of cargo handling operations in ports, reduce delivery terms and improve cargo safety.
